Welcome to our sixth Youtalk reading club summary. Our last book club meeting took place on March 26th at our usual place, the Ramón J. Sender library. Since it was Easter week, our meeting was on a Tuesday instead of a Wednesday and our group was much smaller. Nevertheless we had a great time. Those who couldn´t make it and didn´t read the play, missed out on a terrific American classic. The book selection for this month was A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams. It was written in 1947. It revolutionized the American theatre and has influenced many other playwrights and actors to this day. Many regard it as one of the best American plays ever written. The characters are very real and themes and images are unforgettable. If you haven´t read this play yet, you should. Our group really enjoyed reading it. I want to thank our readers for showing up. I hope to see all of you for our next book club meeting at the Ramón J. Sender library. The book will be Shall We Tell The President? by Jeffrey Archer.
See you soon!
